Welcome to Constantia Academy!



The Constantia Academy strives to create opportunities to learn from one another and apply networked-thinking in an international environment, using the best available talent — both within and outside the company — to prepare for the management tasks of the future.

Founded in 2006, the “Constantia Academy for Management and Leadership” is an initiative of all the Executive Board members to create a common training platform that bridges all company divisions. The participants come together from all segments around the world, which helps to lay the foundation for creating important networks.

Constantia Academy includes the following primary components::

Leadership Program

The “Leadership Program”, the Academy’s basic course, enables young Constantia Packaging management talent to acquire skills training and gain a thorough understanding of the company’s values, innovative strengths and financial management.

The main topics include:

• Leadership role
• Communications and team
• Entrepreneurial thinking and project management
• Corporate control
• Change management

The first matriculating class began the coursework in 2006, and all participants had successfully completed the program the following year. The second matriculating class began in 2007, and a third in 2008.

Strategic Leadership Program

The “Strategic Leadership Program” offers experienced Constantia Packaging managers the opportunity to learn more about themselves, the Group and the respective companies by focusing on conditions at specific plants and through company-specific case studies. The focus remains the manager as individual, in his/her relationship to employees and the overall company context..

The main topics include:

• Strategic management
• Strategic leadership
• Strategic change

The first matriculating class began in October 2008. For both of these programs, a new class enters each year.

Individual learning modules

Finally, Constantia Academy offers several training sessions and workshops through individual modules. These initiatives are based on current needs, such as the new IRFS guidelines or constant topics such as corporate values.

International exchange program

Rounding out the above-mentioned training programs, Constantia Academy is also making it possible to apply newly gained theoretical knowledge and personal expertise in a new way through exchange programs.
